Day One – Saturday 5 November, 2022

Nurturing the Heart and Practising the Art of Teaching

When teachers cultivate their minds such that their hearts are nurtured into ever-more openness, they see the children in their care for who they truly are. This gift to the young brings alive their natural yearning to understand and learn. So to, the teachers themselves are guided by their own joyful, compassionate hearts into practicing the art of their teaching at the highest levels. When head, heart and hand are in alignment, magic happens between teachers and students.

Like the three legs of a stool, when we combine knowledge and practice with a heartfulness toward education, our children have something truly firm to stand on. Day One brings our focus toward the heart in the art of teaching. Speakers from the fields of education, psychology and politics will share their unique insights into “why” and “how” to bring the Heart into a more prominent role in education.
